A standing Pteranodon would have only been six feet tall, but its wingspan could stretch up to thirty-three feet, making their wingspan larger than any know bird. Pteranodons were carnivores but had no teeth. They ate along the shores of the ocean, where they fished like pelicans and then swallowed the fish whole.
