What supplies should you buy a young artist or beginner?

For a young artist or beginner, starting with a few basic art supplies is essential. Consider getting a sketchbook or drawing pad, a set of graphite pencils of various hardness, erasers, and a set of coloured pencils or markers for adding colour. A beginner-friendly paint set with brushes, watercolour paper, and a palette can also be a great addition.

Do you need expensive art supplies?

The short answer is no. Unless you want to become a professional artist, you only need to invest in expensive supplies if you need to. There are plenty of paints, brushes and pencils that won't cost you the earth but will still allow you to create your very own masterpieces. 

How should art supplies be stored?

Art supplies should be stored in a clean, dry, and organised space. Paints and brushes should be tightly sealed and stored upright. Art pencils and pens can be kept in a pencil case or holder.
