You will need:

1. Father’s day clay tag card

Supplies:
  • Air dry cla
  • Cookie cutte
  • Stamps
  • Yarn
  • Card stock

This Father’s day card is super simple to make but at the end you’ll have a homemade clay tag to keep

First you’ll need to roll out your air dry clay, then cut it into the shape you want. We used a cookie cutter for this but you could use a jam jar or a knife to create your shape (younger children may need a little assistance with this part).

Once you have your clay shape you need to add your message, we used our wooden stamps to add our Father’s day slogan. Next on either side of your clay add a small hole to thread your yarn through later.

Now you just need to let your clay dry, check the instructions on your clay to see how long this should take and what drying conditions will work best.

Once your clay is dry this is where you can decide to decorate, we left ours plain but you can get as creative as you like with paints and even glitter

If you have decided to paint your clay you will have to leave some time for this to dry, if like us you left yours plain you can move on to assembling your card.

First take your clay decoration and thread two pieces of yarn though each hole, then take your card stock and tie each piece of yarn together in the inside of your card, you can secure this with a small piece of sticky tape.

Once your card looks something like this all you need to do is fill it in with your message for dad.

Once father’s day is over you can take your clay tag off and use it as a decoration around your home!
