- Hearts, approx. 5.5cm x 5.5cm 

 

Materials

Yarn – Make & Create DK Yarn 

- Red

- Purple Haze 

- Bubblegum Pink 

- Pure White

Hook – 4mm

Scissors  

Tapestry/Wool Needle

- Ch3 doesn’t count as a stitch. 

 

Abbreviations 

Ch – Chain 

MR – Magic Ring 

SS – Slip stitch 

DC – Double Crochet 

HTR – Half Treble Crochet 

TR – Treble Crochet 

DTR – Double Treble Crochet 

INC - 2 or more stitches in the same stitch  

STS – Number of stiches 

 

Tension 

20 stitches x 24 rows (4 inch square) with the double crochet stitch. 

 

Pattern

 

Hearts

Make x6 of each colour: Red, Bubblegum Pink, and Purple Haze 

To Start: With Bubblegum Pink, make a MR.  

Round 1: Ch3, 3dtr, 3tr, dtr, 3tr, 3dtr, ch3, ss all into the ring, pull tight [13 sts] 

Round 2: Ch3, skip 3 chains from previous round, 3htr inc in first stitch, 2htr inc in next stitch, 4htr, (htr, ch2, htr) in next stitch (this should be the bottom of your heart into the dtr from the previous round), 4htr, 2htr inc, 3htr inc in last stitch, ch3, ss into the ring [20 sts] 

Fasten off and sew ends in. 

 

Joining your Hearts to make Bunting 

To Start: With Pure White chain 30 

Row 1: * dc into the top right-hand stitch of your heart, ch5, dc in the top left-hand stitch of your heart, ch12; 

repeat from * until you have joined your 18 hearts in the order you would like, ch30. 

Fasten off, sew ends in.
