Magnolia Parks Books in Order

If you're looking for a book series that will absolutely ruin you for anything else, Jessa Hastings’ Magnolia Parks series is the one. It’s not just a story — it’s a lifestyle. This series is achingly mundane in the best way possible: the characters’ day-to-day lives feel so real, so familiar, that you’ll find yourself emotionally entangled in their world without even realising it. Before long, you won’t just be reading about the Magnolia Parks universe — you’ll feel like you live in it.

Spanning five books (with the sixth currently in the works), the series follows the lives of Magnolia Parks and Daisy Haites as they navigate the drama, heartbreak, and high-stakes love affairs of London’s elite. Through dual perspectives, we dive deep into their inner worlds — and those of their equally complicated love interests, BJ Ballentine and Christian Hemmes. The alternating POVs bring an emotional complexity that’s irresistible (because who doesn’t love a male POV?).

Before we get into the best reading order for the Magnolia Parks series, let’s break down the characters — so you’re fully prepped to step into their world, heartbreak and all.

Magnolia Parks Universe — Character Breakdown

In the Magnolia Parks books, the story centres around Magnolia Parks and her childhood sweetheart, BJ Ballentine. As we’re fed snippets of their complicated relationship, we’re introduced to their tight-knit circle of friends — including Christian Hemmes, who quietly steals scenes as a supporting character.

In contrast, the Daisy Haites books shift focus. Magnolia plays only a background role (until book three!), and the spotlight turns to Daisy, her brother Julian, and Christian, who steps up as a central character in his own right.

What makes this series so compelling is how seamlessly it weaves multiple narratives. Each book alternates its main focus, yet the characters continue to cross paths, keeping the entire Magnolia Parks universe connected. Magnolia and Daisy’s stories run parallel — separately but interconnected — thanks to the messy, magnetic relationships and shared plotlines that make this series impossible to put down.

Magnolia Parks Series Order

#1 Magnolia Parks (2021)

A photo of Magnolia Parks book one held in front of a colourful bookshelf.

Why we love it:

- Dual narration — because who doesn’t love seeing the story from both the FMC and MMC POVs!

- An emotional roller coaster that leaves you dying for the next book.

Magnolia Parks follows the lives of Magnolia and BJ as they try to navigate the world around them whilst denying the gravitational pull they feel towards each other. After breaking up years before, but always finding some way to be in each other’s company, the first book in the Magnolia Parks series takes us on a journey of broken trust, past trauma, heartbreak and yearning that will leave you wanting to tear your hair out every time Magnolia and BJ fail to get it together — and book one is just the start of their up and down relationship!

#2 Daisy Haites (2021)

A photo of Daisy Haites held in front of a colourful bookshelf.

Why we love it:

- It’s more than just a romance book — Daisy Haites is filled with romance but also has a darker side filled with danger and tension.

- Not one, not two, but three character POVs in this book.

In Daisy Haites, being the sister of a gang lord can be as dangerous for the heart as any gun or knife Daisy might encounter in her brother’s criminal line of work. Despite her love for her brother, Daisy has always wanted a normal life away from crime. But after being raised by Julian, her older brother and said gang lord, it’s not as easy to leave that life behind — made even harder when she starts to fall for Christian Hemmes. What starts as no strings attached becomes messy when their feelings get involved.

#3 Magnolia Parks: The Long Way Home (2022)

A photo of Magnolia Parks: The Long Way Home held in front of a colourful bookshelf.

Why we love it:

- It has major Gossip Girl vibes.

- The crossover between characters from Daisy Haites.

After the explosive revelations at the end of the first book, Magnolia escapes to New York — putting thousands of miles (and emotional walls) between herself and the chaos of London... and BJ. In the city that never sleeps, she tries to outrun her feelings the only way she knows how: by dating guy after guy. Meanwhile, back in England, BJ finally starts to move on, falling into a new relationship — though it’s clear he’s still haunted by the love he lost. But when Magnolia returns home, everything they’ve buried begins to surface. As the two slowly start to unravel the layers of pain, history, and heartbreak between them, the question that’s haunted them for years begins to demand an answer: is love enough?

With a jaw-dropping twist that will leave you staring into space long after you’ve turned the last page, Magnolia Parks: The Long Way Home is an emotional gut-punch in the best possible way.

#4 Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing (2022)

A photo of Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing held in front of a colourful bookshelf.

Why we love it:

- Julian Haites — the bad-boy-book-boyfriend you can’t help but swoon over.

- Mystery, intrigue, and tension…

This book is a crowd pleaser. Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing not only continues Daisy and Christian’s story from book two, it shows us a glimpse into some of the events from the next Magnolia book but in Julian’s perspective. These added layers and unexpected nuances bring a richness you didn’t know you were missing. Packed with high-stakes family drama, this instalment keeps you glued to the page. But the real heart of the story? Christian Hemmes. His yearning reaches new, soul-aching heights in this book — he’s the poster boy for “she falls harder, but he fell first,” and honestly, we are so here for it. Top-tier angst, irresistible tension, and emotional payoff make this one unforgettable.

#5 Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark (2024)

A photo of Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark held in front of a colourful bookshelf.

Why we love it:

- A sweeping conclusion to Magnolia and BJ’s story.

- Beautifully written.

Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark touches on a multitude of hard and painful emotions and life experiences that Jessa Hastings writes so beautifully. It’s hard not to fall in love with the book for the writing alone. Magnolia has to navigate her life in the wake of the tragedy that occured at the end of book three which offers her this chance to grow into herself in a way readers will fall in love with. It’s Magnolia’s character development that shines through in this book. Down-to-earth and heart-warming, Into The Dark offers us a reprieve from the tumultuous love affair between Magnolia and BJ and finally gives readers that glimpse of a happy ending.
