You can make your own PAW Patrol pupmobile using simple household items. It’s not only a fun craft project, but a creative way to recycle materials you already have. Plus, it’s a paws-itively perfect opportunity for your kiddos to imagine their own rescue missions while getting crafty.
So, roll up your sleeves and let those imaginations run wild—it’s time for a PAW Patrol adventure at home!
What you'll need:
- Empty toilet roll tubes
- Cardboard (for wheels, wings, and additional details)
- Glue
- Pencil
- Scissors (adult supervision required)
Make your own PAW Patrol Vehicle—step by step
Step 1: Choose your PAW Patrol vehicle
Each PAW Patrol pup has their own special vehicle. Decide whether you want to make Chase’s police car, Marshall’s fire truck, Skye’s helicopter, or another favourite! Once you've chosen, gather the paint colours that match the vehicle.
Step 2: Draw a circle on the tube
Grab a pencil and your toilet paper tube rolls and lightly sketch your favourite character's vehicle design. Draw a circle on the top of the roll to later cut out.
Step 3: Cut out the circle
Carefully cut out the circle on the top of the tube. This is where your favourite pup can sit!
Step 4: Paint the tube
Grab your paint pots and brushes and paint the roll in the colour of the PAW Patrol vehicle you're making.
In case you need a reminder, these are some of the PAW Patrol characters and their signature colours:
- Blue for Chase
- Red for Marshall
- Pink for Skye
- Green for Rocky
- Yellow for Rubble
- Orange for Zuma
Step 5: Add the details
Once your first coat is fully dry, you can start adding the details! We decided to paint Chase’s blue police truck, and Skye’s pink helicopter. To create the helicopter propellors, you can cut out a section of cardboard for the base and use a lollipop stick or thin strip of carboard as the propellor.
Step 6: Attach the wheels
Now is the time to add the wheels! To make these you’ll need some cardboard. Simply cut out small circles, paint them black, and glue them to your vehicle once fully dry.
Step 7: Pupmobiles ready for rescue!
Grab your puppy pals and your pupmobiles are ready for the next rescue mission. Create the entire squad and be ready to save the day at any minute!
Play and Enjoy!
Once your PAW Patrol vehicle is complete, your child can use it for pretend play and adventures! You can even make multiple vehicles and create a full PAW Patrol team.
This craft is not only fun but a great way to encourage imaginative play and creativity while reusing everyday materials. Have fun crafting your own PAW Patrol world and enjoy time well spent with your kids!
